Registration for Winter Session Now Open—All Students
Registration for the Winter 2025 term is now open. Students can make progress towards a degree this winter and choose from 150+ courses in a wide variety of subjects. Please note that in order to register, students must have an established GPA of 2.0 or higher. First-year students who are enrolled in the fall are not eligible to register for Winter Session. Learn more about Winter Session here.

Important Graduation Information—Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who anticipate completing January 2025 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online or a hard copy if the deadline has been missed. The January deadline is January 15, 2025. Any questions concerning a diploma application can be submitted to the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office via this webform. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

Upcoming Scarlet$ense Financial Literacy Workshops—All Students
Students are encouraged to register for the upcoming financial literary workshop, Adulting 101. This in-person Financial Literacy workshop will be held in late October. Learn more and register here.

Winter 2025 Term Bills—All Students 
Winter Session 2025 term bills are due on December 3, 2024. Students can pay online at paymybill.rutgers.edu.

Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans—All Students
The Rutgers Tuition Payment Plan allows students to pay tuition and fees over time in an interest-free plan that automatically deducts the amount from bank accounts via e-check payments, credit cards, or debit cards. The Winter 2025 plan is now available. Learn more about payment plans here.

Enroll in Direct Deposit for Faster Refunds—All Students 
Direct deposit is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way to receive refunds issued by Rutgers. View instructions for setting up direct deposit here. International students who are eligible for a refund can enroll in direct deposit using a U.S. bank account. Please note that direct deposit is currently not available for summer or winter refunds. Students not enrolled in direct deposit will receive a pop-up alert on the myRutgers portal that must be acknowledged.

Health Insurance Waiver Appeal and Enrollment Procedures— Full-Time and ALL F&J Rutgers Visa Sponsored Students Only
Students who have failed to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan before the deadline should follow these guidelines:

• Failed to Waive? You are being enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and will be responsible for the premium on the term bill even though you have other health insurance. You can complete a waiver appeal form before November 30, 2024, at www.universityhealthplans.com. Once a waiver appeal has been submitted before the deadline, the premium ($1,233) will automatically be removed from the term bill.
  • F&J Rutgers visa sponsored students must contact Eirinn Jones at Rutgers Global via email to request a waiver appeal before November 30, 2024. Rutgers ID# must be included for identification.
• Failed to Enroll? Your enrollment in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is now being processed.  Visit www.uhcsr.com to create an account and access your insurance card after October 15, 2024.
  • Note: Be proactive and enroll before the deadline each semester and avoid having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for medical care including medication, and then seek reimbursement.

Residency Reclassification Deadline—All Students 
The Residency Reclassification deadline for graduate and undergraduate students is Monday, November 4, 2024. The application and all supporting evidence must be submitted by this date. Learn more about the application here.

Staff/Faculty Taxable Remission—Graduate Students Who Are Staff/Faculty
Please be aware that the full value of staff/faculty graduate tuition remission is subject to federal and New Jersey state tax withholding. In addition, under federal regulations, any graduate tuition remission benefit over $5,250 per calendar year is also considered taxable. Please refer to the 2024 Tax Withholding Schedule for the 2024 withholding dates.

myGuest Authorized User Access for Term Bills, Grades, and More—All Students
Students can authorize a third party or a parent with access to review academic records, view financial aid rewards, or make payments on their behalf. To grant this access, students must log in to their myRutgers Dashboard, and use the “Authorized Access” icon to provide access to the desired authorized party. Additional instructions for the myGuest Dashboard can be found here.

One Stop Student Services Center and Walk-Ins—All Students
The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. One Stop acts as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. Questions can be submitted using the contact form, by phone at 848-445-4636 (INFO), or by visiting the One Stop at Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor Hall located at 65 Davidson Road on Busch Campus. No appointments are necessary for walk-ins. The center is open Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can follow updates from One Stop on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Rutgers University-New Brunswick Campus Bus System Survey—All Students
The Division of Institutional Planning and Operations (IP&O) invites students to take the Rutgers University-New Brunswick Campus Bus System Survey. The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and will be open until October 25, 2024. Participants who complete the survey may enter into a drawing to win one of seven $100 gift cards to kite + key, Rutgers Tech Store. Learn more and take the survey here.

Make a Plan to Vote in the November 5 Election—All Students
Students planning to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 5, should make plans to successfully register to vote and cast ballots. The RU Voting Program at the Center for Youth Political Participation reminds all eligible voters to check their voter registration status and update their voter registration by the Tuesday, October 15 deadline at 11:59 p.m. Students who are already registered at the correct location can decide in advance to vote by mail, vote early at an early voting site, or on Election Day on November 5. Learn more about student voting here.

Get Ready for Flu Season with Flu Vaccination Clinics—All Students
Fall 2024 Flu Vaccination Clinics will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

Wednesday, October 16: Trayes Hall, Douglass Student Center
Wednesday, October 30: Multipurpose Room, Busch Student Center
Tuesday, November 5: The Yard, College Avenue Campus

The Learning Centers offers workshops to help students start the semester strong, and Academic Success Workshops are open for registration now. Applications for the Bloustein School’s E. Mae McCarroll Scholarship—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy introduces the E. Mae McCarroll Scholarship, designed for exceptional undergraduate students majoring in Public Health or pursuing a Health Disparities certificate. For the 2024-2025 academic year, two recipients with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA will each receive $2,500 for recognizing their academic achievements and commitment to public health. Applications for the Bloustein School’s Robin and Robert J. Nardi Endowed Scholarship—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, in partnership with Robin and Robert J. Nardi, has established the endowed scholarship for an outstanding undergraduate student majoring in Urban Planning and Design or Planning and Public Policy. This scholarship recognizes academic merit and financial need. For the 2024-2025 academic year, one recipient with a cumulative GPA 3.2 will be selected to receive $2,000. Applications Open for 2026 Eagleton Undergraduate Associate Cohort—Undergraduate Students (Juniors)
Eagleton Institute of Politics invites juniors from all Rutgers schools and campuses to build political, government, and community engagement knowledge, skills, and networks through a 3-semester interdisciplinary certificate program. Participants earn 9 credits and learn about political power and decision-making through 3 unique courses (1 course each semester). Develop leadership and professional skills in program sessions and gain experience through public service internships and education sessions at the State House. Registration for Bloustein School’s Master’s in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Informatics & Health Administration Fall 2024 Zoom Information Sessions—All Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy hosts virtual information sessions during the Fall 2024 semester for their master and graduate certificate programs in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Informatics, and Health Administration. The GRE is waived for 2025 and scholarships are available for Fall 2025. No work experience is necessary. The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and the Allard Family have established a fellowship for outstanding, declared, and non-traditional public health students who have demonstrated a personal commitment or outstanding academic potential in their public health studies. For 2024–2025, two eligible undergraduate students with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA will be selected as fellows to receive $2,000 each. Applications for the Bloustein School’s Design Makes a Difference Endowed Scholarship—Undergraduate Students
The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy established the Design Makes a Difference Endowed scholarship for outstanding students pursuing an Urban Planning and Design degree or major and who have demonstrated a personal commitment and/or outstanding academic potential in pursuit of studies in Urban Planning at the Bloustein School and can demonstrate a financial need. LSAT Test Prep Course—All Students
The Center for Continuing Professional Development offers test preparation classes to help students prepare for the LSAT, GMAT, GRE, and Praxis exams. LSAT prep classes are offered in-person and online. The GMAT, GRE, and Praxis Test Preps are all online classes.
